Ride60

Ride60 is a 60-minute stationary cycling challenge that allows you to go further and compete against like-minded individuals across Canada. Ride60 takes place in Montréal, Toronto, Regina, and Vancouver, from September through November.

Event Details

How far can you ride in an hour? Go further in the Ride60 and put your endurance to the test in a 60-minute endurance challenge where distance is measured.

  • Help us defeat type 1 diabetes (T1D)!
  • Raise the minimum suggested fundraising amount of $400. Show your resolve and aim to be a $600 Rider!
  • We supply the equipment. You bring your bike.*

*Regina Ride60 participants will be riding on high end Keiser spin bikes.

A:

A 60-minute stationary cycling challenge that allows you to compete against like-minded individuals across Canada. Ride60 takes place in four cities across Canada from September through November.

A:

For the Ride60 challenge, participants will be riding their own bikes. JDRF will be providing state of the art indoor cycling trainers into which participants will clip their bikes. The trainers provided by JDRF will be the CycleOps Mag Trainer and Cateye Strade Cadence* which will be used to track the distance each participant achieves in 60 minutes.

A:

If you don’t have your own bike or if you’re unable to bring your bike please contact your local JDRF office to make alternate arrangements. Please ensure that you provide a minimum of two weeks’ notice to ensure arrangements can be made.

There is no registration fee; however each participant taking part in the Ride60 element has a minimum suggested fundraising amount of $400. Participants are encouraged to show their resolve and aim to raise $600.

We’re confident that every participant can reach the $400 fundraising level, and are pleased to offer support and advice so you can exceed this target! Those who reach or exceed the $400 amount will be eligible for fundraising rewards for their achievement.

Simply register online and set your fundraising goal. Pledge forms, online fundraising resources and coaching are all available from JDRF to support you along the way.

Ride60 participants will ride for 60 minutes in a timed interval.

A:

Ride60 element is high energy and will appeal to individuals that enjoy competition. Riders are encouraged to set a pace that they are comfortable with. There is an opportunity for warm up and cool down to ensure healthy and safe fun.
